Athletic Injuries - New York Lawyers

Injuries during athletic activities may result from the negligence of others. An injury may result form the failure of a public place, such as a local park, or a private place such as a health club, to provide an expected level of service or safety to athletic participants. For example, there may be a level of supervision expected that the athletic forum fails to meet. There may be busted fences or sprinklers in or around the forum where an injury results.

In other cases, a participant in an athletic event may have exceeded the expectations of reasonable behavior during the activity such that there may be liability for a resulting injury. There may be liability on the person responsible for your injury and the forum where the activity was hosted.

Health Club and Training Injuries

Health club trainers may have pressed a client too hard during a workout causing an injury or health problem. Many people become very friendly with their trainers and excuse an injury that was caused. In other cases, a trainer convinces the client that they are just out of shape or simply being a complainer when they express pain or discomfort during or following a workout. Our attorneys can help you determine if lines have been crossed in your training session causing pain or damage to you.
